5 Reasons LL Cool J is the G.O.A.T.

I love old school hip hop. The 1980’s was my favorite musical decade. My favorite rap songs are:
1) I’m Bad by LL Cool J
2) Funky Beat by Whodini
3) Ya Cold Wanna Be With Me by U.T.F.O.

LL Cool J is my favorite rapper but is he the greatest rapper of all times (G.O.A.T.)? Yes, he is. Here are 5 reasons why LL Cool J is indeed the G.O.A.T.?

1. Longevity – In 1985, at the age of 17, Ladies Love Cool James released his first album, Radio, on Def Jam with monster hits ‘I Can’t Live Without My Radio’ and ‘Rock the Bells’. LL Cool J has given us 13 rap albums during his decades-long music career.

2. Innovation – Although his music was hard hitting and loaded with bass, LL Cool J introduced us to the first rap ballad, I Need Love, from his Bigger and Deffer album in 1987.

3. Versatility – Musically, LL Cool J has recorded ballads with Jennifer Lopez, Boyz II Men, and Brad paisley. He is also an author, actor, and television host of the new hit show Lip Sync Battle (my favorite new show). LL Cool J’s first acting role was in Krush Groove, my favorite movie ever! Other movie roles include Any Given Sunday, Halloween H2O, and Last Holiday. LL Cool J has also starred in two hit TV shows In The House and NCIS: Los Angeles.

4. Personality – LL Cool J has crossover appeal. He is a smart business man whose personal attributes allows him to navigate different worlds – the hood and the C suite. He is real and relatable. His fans are teenagers, senior citizens and everyone in between.

5. Declaration – LL Cool J is the G.O.A.T. because he declared that he is. G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) is his eighth studio album which released on September 12, 2000, and peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200. Life and death are in the power of the tongue!
